ICE EPOXY ICECAST crystal clear resin

ICECAST is a two-component epoxy resin. It is UV-resistant and anti-yellowing.
properties. The product has: strong tack, good flowability and natural bubble release. Icecast is designed for medium to large volume applications with thicknesses of more than 2.5 cm and up to 10-25 cm depending on the volume. Low colour and low viscosity allow crystal clear castings without bubbles. The product is particularly suitable for large volume castings as the product remains in a gel state for a long time after mixing and the low exothermic reaction prevents the product from overheating during the reaction. ICECAST has a low VOC content, which ensures user safety and reduces environmental impact.

- 2,5 to 10cm deep casting
- Relation 2A:1B
- UV resistant
- 100% solid finish
- Low volatile organic compound content and low odour
- Crystal clear and high gloss appearance
- Enhances the appearance of the object
- Resistant to bacteria and moisture
- Excellent air separation properties
- Does not age

IMPORTANT REMARKS

- The cost shown is calculated for a flat surface. A porous or imperfect surface will require more material for the same material cost.
- The viscosity shown applies only to a transparent product. The addition of any dye may affect the viscosity.

MANUAL

Make sure that the ICECAST resin and hardener are kept at room temperature between 15 and 21 °C.
In a dry and clean container, mix 2 parts resin (A) to 1 part hardener (B). Reduce air generation as much as possible
as much as possible by stirring gently with a metal spatula for 1-2 minutes. Stir well along the inside walls of the container.
and then leave to stand for 3-5 minutes.

Adjust the quantity according to the working time and quantity to avoid wastage. The product container must be properly closed
after use to avoid product deterioration due to moisture absorption. It is important to note that the service life of the mixture should be
can be shortened in warmer climates and extended in cooler climates. The handling time of the mixture is therefore reflected in
the temperature level. Also, the higher the quantity of resins to be mixed, the shorter the application time.

If the relative humidity is above 85%, the surface of the solidified product easily absorbs moisture from the air, forming a white mist. Therefore, if the relative humidity is above 85%, it is not suitable for curing at room temperature. It is recommended to use the heating method for solidification. If it is necessary to cast in a cool room, it must be left in the mould for at least 3 days to cure completely.

CLEANING

Clean all tools with acetone. Once the product has hardened, it can only be removed by sanding. It is recommended to clean immediately after use.

RANGES

ICECAST should be stored in a dry, shady place at 15-21 °C and out of the reach of children. Do not leave resin or hardener in an open container. It should be used in locations where humidity is less than 60% and the temperature is between 15-21 °C. Use a dehumidifier if necessary. ICECAST should be used within one year of purchase.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Wash with soap and water if it comes into contact with skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Consult a doctor. In case of respiratory problems, remove to fresh air. Remove contaminated clothing and clean before reuse. Components A and B contain toxic ingredients. Prolonged skin contact with this product may cause irritation. Avoid contact with eyes. Exposure may cause severe burns. Avoid inhalation of vapours from this product. This product is a strong sensitizer. Wear protective goggles and chemical resistant gloves. The use of a respirator filtering organic vapours is recommended. Use suitable ventilation. *Please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for further information.
